Panoramic Rio and Corcovado (4 hours)

Ascend Corcovado’s lofty summit by funicular and journey past some of the world’s most stunning beaches on this exhilarating half-day exploration.

From the pier, your air-conditioned motor coach will proceed through the downtown business district to Cosme Velho.
Once there, you will board the funicular railway for a 20-minute scenic journey through the lush Tijuca Forest. As you climb Corcovado Mountain, there are spectacular views of Rio, framed by dense vegetation.

Your destination is Rio’s most famous monument, the statue of Christ which crowns Corcovado, 2,400 feet above the sea. Soaring to a height of 130 feet, its outstretched arms seem to embrace the stunning panoramas. An elevator, as well as an escalator, waits to whisk you up to the summit.

Here at the belvedere, enjoy a privileged panoramic view of Rio.

Following your visit to the statue, you will descend by funicular and proceed by coach through the forest to the Barra Beach district.

Your return drive to the pier will pass several splendid beaches with such evocative names as Leblon, Ipanema and Copacabana. The sight of pounding blue surf and sparkling sand, lined by mosaic sidewalks, provides an unforgettable visual spectacle.
