Portobelo

The south of Brazil reflects the European influences brought by German and Italian immigrants, particularly apparent in the countryside farms, and in the architecture.

The region's beautiful beaches, mountains, and valleys, are of particular interest to all who visit Brazil's south.

While in Portobelo, cruise ship anchors off at the Garoupas Bay and at north of Porto Belo Island. Guests will be taken ashore via the ship's tenders to the Yacht Club pier at the City of Porto Belo. The center of Portobelo is at approx 5 minutes by taxi, which are available out side the Yacht Club.

Visit the Island of Portobelo, located in the middle of the Garoupas Bay. It has 1400 meters in length and 400 of width. It is also located at 10 minutes by ship's tender the City of Portobelo. The Island is almost totally reforested and has one of the most modern infrastructures to receive visitors such as: A intriguing museum, ecological trails, underwater sports and restaurant.

You may also discover the beauty of the nearby Camboriu resort, one of Santa Catarina's most visited beach resort centers or explore City of Blumenau, which is the Itajai Valley's best-known city, and resembles a typical German settlement; with Nordic architecture, and cobblestone streets.
